Found another outboard CC Sea Skiff for sale: http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/boa/3427767997.html These were built by Thompson Boat Company of New York, Inc. at Cortland, NY - a wholly owned subsidiary of Chris-Craft. Only made for one year, 1962. I have no connection with this boat or the seller...

I had a similar situation with my 1955 Thompson Thomboy. When I obtained the boat 12 years ago the pleixiglass windshield was cracked. The seller told me that some chucklehead grabbed the top of it to help pry himself out of the seat. The plastic cracked. The crack did not move or grow for a decade....

Just thought I would share this for sale boat. I have nothing to do with it. Chris-Craft Sea Skiff outboard made at Thompson Boat Company of New York, Inc. in Cortland, NY. As far as I can tell, these were exactly the same as the "Thompson of New York" boats, just badged with the CC Sea Skiff emblem...

"Venturi" drain is what the one is called that goes thru the hull bottom and has the little scoop under the planking.

My 1957 Thompson Bros. Boat Mfg. Co. 16'-7" Sea Lancer lapstrake outboard has one. It's brass.

CC bought the molds and tooling from OMC. Ted Thompson, Jr. told me that he and brother Bob went to Waukegan, IL to make the deal and get everythng packed up and sent to Cortland, NY.

Define "5200 bottom". That can mean a lot of things to many different people. Did the "restorer" throw a tube of unopened 5200 down in the bilge and call the boat a "5200 bottom"?

As suggested, you need to chat with the previous owners to figure out what was done.

Colour could be a custom order. Or maybe never made it into a brochure or price sheet. Sames goes for the descrepancy of the logo locations on the boat. Changes were made all the time in production and they did not necessarily get into print.

According to the Jerry Conrad book "Chris-Craft: The Essential Guide", your boat ORCZ-16-2114V is a 1973 or 1974 model year boat. There 490 of these models made between 1971 and 1974.

The tri-hull Gullwings were built at Cortland, NY. They may have also been built at other plants.
