Re: KL idle
Manafold leaks can effect all sorts of stuff. Drives me nuts because the way to tell was water in your oil, but not the case. I just replaced the exhaust manifold on my W and it changed everything, smooth running, less smoke, no rough idle. I am not a mechanic, nor an engine expert, or even an engin...

Re: New Guy With a '65 Super Sport 18'
Hi Chuck, sorry for the delay. You have one of the last woodys and they are fantastic. I would get the hull card from the Mariners Museum in Newport News. That will tell you any special differences. Yours sounds normal with vinyl. Variations are not part of how they did things. It was mass productio...

Re: 1962 CC Skier - New to Me
Welcome Eddy. Very cool boat, and one of the last of the woodys, so worthy. Where you are located is an amazing area and has a wonderful classic boat community. Looks like you will have some fun working on your boat, and it will certanly need to soak up. My wife always asks me when I get a new old b...

Re: Chris craft club burgee repo still for sale?
Bill Basler did the project and had to order a bunch to get the co to make them. They pop on ebay. But with that said, Staibs are very nice. He does it right. The only difference is the graphics on the band.

Re: Sportsman folding top?
Sorry you have had to wait for an answer. Shame on us. Try the Mariners Museum, they will have a photo. And or even specs. If not, let me know and I will do a shout out on Woody Boater for photos. WE LOVE US SOME TOPS. BTW, you may not really like it after you get it. But its great to have all the p...

Re: 16' special race boats
I have owned both. a 19 Barrel Back and currently a 16 Racer. The ride is rougher in the 16 but if you speed up, its fine. The 19 is kinda better, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE my 16. It is what it is, For a smooth ride, a U22 or my other boat is a 25 Sportsman, and after a ride in the 16 makes the 25 feel l...

Re: Where have all the True Experts Gone?
The Glitches killed me. I am not an expert by far. The crap fest on Facebook is insane. This is a safe place and I do trust the experts here. I just renewed and had to start over. I was the 3rd member to join back when this was started. In a way it helped start WoodyBoater and have met some amazing ...

Re: Blow By
Its sadly normal. I had a 19 barrel back with a M and did the same. Its annoying and can overwhelm you. Its what Greg said. Does it on my W and K as well. I have been thinking of putting in a blower. The smell is finding its way out, right under your nose
