Prewar Chris Craft spray hood material
Does anyone have a source for khaki treated canvas used for prewar spray hoods? The 1939 catalog calls for 13 oz khaki treated canvas. I have the remains of what might be an original . So far I haven’t been able to find a suitable replacement cloth

1939 Utility Gas line install question
I picked up a lot of useful information in the archives regarding the copper gas line, and picked up a few clues from Don Danenberg’s books but my question is, Did the gas line run near the top of the stringer or along the bottom and was it supported with upholstery hangers or some sort of pipe clam...

Thanks Matt, Exactly what I was looking for , right down to the same year, model, and upholstery color. Amazing.

Pre war Chris Craft welting/Piping configuration?
I am interested to know where the welting was on pre war, 1939 17’ deluxe utility cushions. All 4 sides top? top and bottom? just the sides? I have gleaned some information from previous Boat Buzz posts . Squinting at the pictures in the Essential guide and photos from the Mariners Museum hasn’t qui...

Re: Is this a Yale jr. ignition switch
Thanks for your help guys. This switch came out of the original dash. I have seen some vintage NOS Yale ignition key/ tumbler assemblies on eBay but I wasn’t even sure if this was a Yale switch to begin with. I’m not intent on restoring my boat to a perfect original condition. Just trying to keep it...

Is this a Yale jr. ignition switch
4E1C4DEB-C1FC-4DDD-9BED-66C9DD51C74E.jpeg Is this a Yale jr ignition switch. There is no visible markings. My 1939 CC delux utility hull card specifies The Yale switch. If it is any direction towards a key would help. The hull card says the key is RM14. I have found some mention of the Yale switch ...

1939 CC Deluxe Utility wiring diagram
I got this boat as a gray boat with all the hardware and running gear disassembled and piled up in the hull. All I have to go on is the old dash and one frame and old stringer with wiring stapled to them. The Mariner Museum information did not include any wiring diagrams. Any prewar wiring informati...
