Robert Henkel had a reconditioned exact match - http://www.chris-craft-parts.com/Rudder ... llers.html in case others are looking. Couldn't be happier!

Re: CC Prop #658 (12x13x1 RH)?

Thanks, Mark! Jim has one that was close that I may go with and I appreciate the heads up on Acme. Sounds like that’s a hit or miss option I should avoid. Thanks again for the speedy response!

CC Prop #658 (12x13x1 RH)?

The prop for my 1955 18’ Holiday with a KLC is at the bottom of our lake. Diving efforts are underway, but we’re not optimistic. It’s a #658 - T-36 12x13x1 RH.

Anyone have one available or a recommendation for an alternative? Was looking at ACME, but would love to stay original if possible!

Re: K Engine Valve Adjustment

Thanks to Mike and Frank for these posts! Great instructions that completely transformed the top end of my KLC. Using a remote starter to turn the engine as suggested by Mike made a big difference, as did Frank's sequence which took the mystery out of how far to turn the engine and minimized crankin...

Re: KLC carb (Zenith 11168 / 552M) mix screw adjustment

JimF, As BilgeRat says, this is in the 11849 manual: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0di6eslf3mzuted/IMG_0748.jpg Seems like the high speed jet screw was added to some of the 11849's as an option to reduce fuel use, but should be left wide open for max power, which is presumably what you get with no screw...

KLC carb (Zenith 11168 / 552M) mix screw adjustment

Happy Labor Day all! I’m spending some of it tuning up my ’56 Holiday and could use some help. Thanks to a lot of good advice from these boards, I have my ignition dialed in. Now I'm on to the carb. My carb is a Zenith 11168 (552M) on a KLC with idle and high-speed adjustment screws. It was rebuilt ...

Re: KLC Numerous Issues

@Trick414 Will be curious how your jet adjustment goes - I have a '56 KLC with a Zenith 552M and don't think I've ever gotten it quite right. If you don't mind me piggybacking your string, a couple of basic KLC Carb questions I'm wondering about: 1) For the 552M model, is turning in (clockwise) lean...

Re: Dwell Angle for KLC

Thank you both! Think I will swap the coil (at least I'll have a new one) and will check the rotor action as Tom suggests. Much appreciated.

Re: Dwell Angle for KLC

Thanks, Jim! 35 degrees resulted in a .22 gap, so that all checks out. Still trying to figure out the wonky readings - will try the jumper idea!

Dwell Angle for KLC

Hi all, I have been adjusting the dwell angle on my KLC trying to solve an bogging issue at high rpms under load (4 people in a ‘56 Holiday, can’t get over 2200). Three questions for this august group: 1) I’m shooting for dwell = 35 degrees based on what research I’ve been able find. Sound right? Ho...

Anyone able to recognize a model/year from this cockpit picture?

Growing up, my grandfather had a utility on Lake Sunapee that we adored. It's long gone, but recently, I picked up a 18' 1956 Holiday that is the closest boat I could find to what we remember. Today, I found this pic of the original boat in a shoe box. The windshield and dash look like my Holiday, a...
