bottom paint finishing
I just started painting the bottom of my 1950 CC. Riv,I put a new 5200 bottom on it with new planks and 4 coats of interlux 2000e now I have 2 coats of Epifanes Yacht Enamel on it, my question is I'm going to put a third coat of Enamel on it but it looks like there's orange peel in the paint finish ...

should I install new side planks, then paint the bottom
I finished putting on a 5200 bottom and now I put one row of new side planks,should I finish planking the sides then paint the bottom or will it matter ?

When Installing new side planks do I need to use any kind of Adhesive/Sealant to secure the plank to the Battens or can I just screw the planks to the new Battens ?

Right now I have my boat up side down on the trailer and just finishing the bottom,when I start putting on new side planks can I leave the boat the way it is ? or is it better to flip it right side up ?

That was my hall number and my Hall card was Dated 6-28-50,not sure how many they made in 1950.If you get a line on a KBL motor let me know I don't care what shape it's in just not cracked block

I am restoring a 1950 18' Riviera and my Hall number is R-18-368 and from the research I have done from 1950-1954 they built 1210 of the 18' Riviera's, I am looking for a KBL motor that's what came with the boat,trying to keep it as original as possible.

Now is that 4 inches outside to outside or 4 inches face of glass? I just bought 2 gauges one is a Tach and the other is a Oil/Amp and they both are 4 inches outside to outside,I am not sure if they are the right ones for my boat, Thanks for your information

Thats my problem I don't have the old dash board and the prints I have from the Mariners Museum,one shows 4 gauges,Tach,Oil,Temp and Ammeter but on the wiring diagram it shows a oil/temp gauge?

I am rebuilding my transom and would like to know is it better to use solid wood and try to bend it to get that 4 inch curve in it or can I Laminate pieces together to make it easier to make the curve ?

I got my Hall package about 6 months ago, and I even called them they told me for my 1950 Riveria they didn't have a parts list,so if anyone with a 1950 Riveria I can sure use some help.
