I have a 1963 CC Connie crusier and am in process of removing old varnish and rebuildling with new varnish. The lower sections are a laminate. I have removed the bottom molding thinking that would allow me to remove them and use them them as a pattern for new ones. Bummer they don't come loose. Were...

Vinyl Covered foredeck on 1963 30 ft Connie
IMG_3435.JPG I bought her this summer up on the Saint Lawrence near Clayton where she has spent her life. She has great bones but needs cosmetics. Totally orginial I want to "freshin" the deck and cabin top. I don't want to screw up so I am looking for advice on how best to accomplish that project....

For us here on Lake Norman in Charlotte the water stays above freezing .
IT can get as low as teen's but thank goodness that issue is off the table.
I also put a boat safe heater in the engine compartment which comes on at 40 degrees to protect the hoses and batteries

No seacock = How to Winterize in the water
Well here is my fix. I could not get the thru hull loosened to install a seacock to allow me to winterize in the water So I went to a local guy Anthony who is a fabricator and made me t plugs for the intakes I have inserted them into the intake hoses and double clamped both hoses.
