Does any one know if the engine size is in the serial number ?? I hear that there is a few size ie 331 354 392 cid . I do know that they are not 426s.

Has any one ever herd of a 1950s roamer with hemis engines from the the factory??? I came across a parts roamer that the owner stated was one of three ever made with factory hemis. I wonder if she was the 50,constellation that past pirates cove over the holliday weekend by bouy 200 on the oneida river? If it was she is a beutiful craft.

Update the eastern end of the Erie is open all the way to lock 23 . The rest opens friday the 18th . Just luanched the roamer(hard to get)

I would enjoy meeting both of you for a canal side lunch n drink . I am actualy in central New York on oneida river portion of the canal . Just aside note , There are four cannals in new york for those of you that are not familiar they are Champlain, cuyuga seneca , Oswego and of coarse the famous erie all interconnected and fully operational . There are lots of classic boats to see along the canals besides history and site seeing. :D ...

Very interesting waterway. The only state owned and operated waterway in the country thats still in use. You should come see it Dennis better yet come by boat and travel it.

I have been thinking that having the yard recomm. the conny is probaly the best stress free coarse to take. Good to hear about your boat and the owens. I like to hear when old woodies are saved and being used . I got my 1959 46 conny for a steel they wanted 9,800 for it I paid 2,500. I have it on hull regisrty under Nicole Lee.

I am wondering what boat is yours I might know it. I had an owens at millers for a summer, that one is now destoyed. Steve is an interesting character for sure. I have had lots of old woody crusiers over the years. Does he still have that huge 40something owens dcfb there

Yeah , that does not make much sense how the western end of the canal closes at 5pm should be at least 8pm during the summer months.

Once I get her back to the cove on the erie canal next year we wont have to worry about swell up. Captain Paul at pirates cove is wood boat freindly. Captai Nemo, are you ont the Erie in Lyons NY ? Just out of curiousity , There is Miller marine who used to have a lot of old woodies around there. :D...

I am the new owner of the boat. I cant ask the previous owner because he has passed . I could check with the yard though.The seams do not appear that open .The conny has a real tight looking bottom though . The boat is in remarkably good condition .

Hi its seaskiff42 . Just wondering if any one knows if pacer 320hp v8 are chevy 427s . I didnt think they ever marinized gm 427s???? Well anyways let me know.

Hi there again Just wondering Did pacer acually marinize chevy 427s they are 320hp pacer in the 1959 conny .Does any one know more about those engines?? My Buddy says they were out of a pacemaker and are chevys.

Update I was a little hasty on posting the 50footer . Instead I bought a 1959 46foot constellation you can see it on the hull registry hull #x46-135 this one is in milwauke wi . I will pilot it back acroos the great lakes to the erie canal and to clay new york
