cracked caulking
The caulking on my deck is cracked and chipped in some areas. Should I remove all the caulking and start over, or is it possible to simply fill the cracks and paint over? Any suggestions would be helpful!
Thanks,
Chris

stern pole base
My chrome stern pole base that holds the ensign has 2 symmetrical holes at the base that are open to the deck beneath; is this correct, or is there glass missing? Hopefully the picture below will help and be worth the appropriate number of words. Thanks! Chris http://upload4.postimage.org/965026/DSC...

installing chrome pieces
I have a piece of chrome that has come loose and the hole is stripped. I would generally fill it with epoxy, allow to dry, then redrill. On my sailboat, I would often dip my screws into the epoxy prior to seating for better grip. I have read this might be avoided in the runabouts due because I might...

When to have it rechromed?
I have some chrome that I think is beyond polishing.
2 questions.
1. Any consensus on the best type(and source) for chrome polish?
2. What are some classic defects/signs that I should have the piece re-chromed and forego the attempt to polish?
Thanks,
Chris

water leaking from engine block
Anyone beginning to recognize my name will realize that I am very a much a novice with this boat. After trouble shooting getting the engine started(needed a new coil), the engine turned over beautifully. I had it attached to a "fake-a-lake" to allow it to cool. When the engine reached about 140 degr...

Running a 1939 Chrysler Crown Marine
I recently acquired a 1939 Runabout. The engine has not been run for about 8 months.
I would like try the engine on the hard. Can someone take a stab at explaining how I might hook up a hose to the intake?
thanks!
Chris
