Question on the Toplight casing, this has significant pitting damage from corrosion. there is a p/n stamped saying 04-44-18268. It is a combined Anchor and Toplight unit in two shel...

Dimension/Drawing Enginebay 30' Cavaliers
Gentlemen, I am thinking to swap my 2 old engines to Detroit Diesel 638`s. I will be making new engine mounts and calculating heat dissipation/radiation and air flow for these new engines, to do this correct i would like to have a technical drawing or sketch of the engine bay with dimensions. Are th...

I pulled the boat and took out the shaft and bearing. After looking at the shaft on the floor, i rolled it over the concrete with my foot. I noticed the end was spooning a bit. So i have a little bend prop shaft which causes troubles i think. So i am sourching a machine shop to make me a new one. Un...

Thanks Joan, actually i completely changed the drive train already. New mass ring (heavier) on flywheel with 5 fase damper plate. I wanted a slightly more heavy flywheel for better efficiency at lower speeds. Then i did a full revision on the Paragon P31. Reinstalled everything, aligned shaft which ...

Popping shaft bearing
I have been trying to locate a strange vibration with noise in the engine train. Changed damper plate and shockmounts. Still in stationairy forward or reverse a fast bonking sound comes from somewhere. I suspect that the prop shaft bearing outside is done. Does any1 have the dimensions for a 1" shaf...

P31 Paragon rattling @idle
Hello Boaters, My starboard P31 rattles in idle and idle forward/reverse. It needs revs to comfort itself. The whole boat is shaking and resonating. It also looks like oil is comming from the output shaft creating lines of oil on the bilge which is black oil, after a trip when i check the oil level ...

unfortunate reply from the museum; It appears to be a Constellation or perhaps a Catalina, but the hull number does not make sense. 789_ is much too high a number. Even 789 is too high. What is the length of your boat? Do you have the original engines installed? If so, we might be able to resear...
