Re: 1963 Sea Skiff color

Well that's the problem, the hull card does not give a hull color all I have to go on is a 1964 brochure that is not very clear. Sandusky paint does not know what went on the boat, is it a midnight blue OR charcoal blue. The mariners museum does not really know either.

1963 Sea Skiff color

Hi, does any one have a guess what the closest blue/gray hull color equivalent in a modern marine hull side paint could be? I am tryin to match up the original hull color. The previous owner sanded everything down th bare wood and I have nothing to go on. The boat is a 1963 ,19' Sea Skiff.

1964 19' sea skiff

Hi I bought a 19' sea skiff over the weekend, the previous-previous owner took it apart and labeled nothing. I can put the pieces back together mostly but if someone owns one can you post some pictures or send them to me? I am missing the fiberglass or plastic panels for the interior so it will prob...

Wheel

The delux two spoke wheel that you are showing is a 1949-1951 Ford wheel. You can buy a black reproduction from Bob Drake ford parts. I have been using 1958-59 Chevrolet Bombay Ivory as a paint for my wheels. I use 3M body filler after I have taken out the cracks ,( you must grind them out clean I u...

rstump, when was the last time your pumps were rebuilt? I rebuilt mine and the spring and it pump works fantastic! Just rebuild it, or have it rebuilt. Paint it up and put it back the way Chris Craft intended. If you do go the electric rout I would love to have your old ones as spares for mine. If y...

Alternative sealer

I screwed up last year during the restoration of my 1966 chris craft cutlass 25' with twins. The transom is a beautiful/hateful piece of engineering constructed out of marine plywood formed in a curved shape side to side. The boat was a boat house baby with 740 hours on it since new and covered with...

Call Don

I would call Don Danenberg. He has done a number of prewar runabouts and I have seen a number of restorations of this type of boat and have seen one side of the boat bigger than the other. The difference was eaten up by the king plank and the covering board. These were original boats that were pampe...

Moore pictures please

Please post a couple pictures that have a clearer view. I don't have a problem with the filter it's job is to reduce the fine particulates that become suspended in the oil. I'm assuming it is a "Wixx, or a Bendix" filter. The insert is still a able at NAPA. There was a guy in our chapter who reused ...

1965 Sea Skiff great boat. That has an aluminum windshield but your sedans have the wood window that open in the front, that's what I am looking for. If you could provide pictures of the bottom of the sill that would be great as for the sliders do you mean the brackets that hold them open? That woul...

New name for a new boat

The boat has very beautiful lines, and I think "Riveria" is a very fitting name. The only wish is this 20' is made in larger numbers than its predissor.
