Re: Running too rich
Update. I took the boat to my mechanic and explained the symptoms. He immediately took the distributer cap off and discovered the red wire to the Pertronix electrical ignition was rubbing against the rotating magnet holder. It was interfering with the advance. Suggest when installing electronic igni...

Running too rich
My KLC with Zenith carb. is running too rich. Does anyone know how many turns from fully closed is normal? I think I set mine at 2 1/2 turns several years ago, and it ran like crap today. Thanks in advance.

Re: Riviera Engine Space Floor
On my 18' Rivera they are 28" long by 7 1/2" wide ( two on each side). They do but up against the stringer. No cut out for the vent tubes. There is a hole in one for the auto bailer. They are held in place by six screws. For some reason my laptop wont let me save the pictures. If you want to send me...

I guess it is true. You do learn something new everyday! Post a pic of your wiring diagram Allan. Maybe some of the experts on here can confirm that your gauge is dual purpose.

Just buy the wire that you need, and tightly wrap it around a screw driver shaft, or something similar like a pencil. That is what creates the coil look.

Re: Riviera Engine Temperature Sensor Excess Length
The excess length is stored in the bow of the boat. Mine is one big loop. I haven't even had time to get the boat out to send you pics from the last question I promised to answer....sorry. Real busy at work, and it's half way through summer.

I planned on getting to the boat today to take some pictures.....however I spent 11 hours fighting with my new laptop and wasted the whole day. I had to call in the reinforcements, but we won the war. I will try to get it tomorrow for you.

With a hole saw, cut a hole in the floor board plank where the self bailer hose goes through. I can take some dimensions and pics next week and post them.

Re: Riviera Engine Bay Vent Tube Orientation
There should be 4 vent tubes in the engine compartment. I could never figure out how the 3" tube goes into the 2 1/2" hole in the deck. I have seen on here where some boats also had a vent tube under the bow light, but am unsure if Rivs had them. Mine are long gone after a restoration a few years ba...

I cleaned mine up a couple of years ago, and just packed it with grease. I have read on here somewhere that that is not correct. If I recall correctly the post referred to an oil available through a " restorers catalogue" that had the specific Gammer Steering box oil. Try doing a search in the archi...

The experts should chime in here. The center star of the decal is supposed to line up with some part of the windshield.......I am just not sure which part. There is something in the archives on this topic. Do a search on it.

Mike,
Take a piece of wood you are trying to match to a Sherwin Williams store and they can match the stain color. I did this with some kitchen cabinets and they matched it perfectly. Good luck. Dan
