Sherwood water pump bearing 6201RS-8

My two water pump rebuilds, for a KLC and sherwood 4 chamber for 283, came to a halt when it seemed imposible to identify a 6201 bearing with a 1/2 inch I.D. which is needed for these pumps. This mystery was solved by accident when my generator was repaired by S&N Auto Electric here in Sacramento. T...

Rick, You have to remove the crash pad to get to the screws that hold that board to the hull. I found it easier when I removed the dash first. Several screws directly behind it hold the dash in place. After the crash pad, top panel are removed together with seat backs and seats, you can get to the s...

Windshield template

I could make a paper template of the windshield in my 18 ft Riviera. I can't guarantee it is an original however.

Hidem made the easy way

The easy way for me to have hidem made was to first send a sample strip of material 1&7/8 inches wide to Brian at Tupper & Twiggs in Fenton MI. After the material passed the machinery test, I sent the full 24 foot strip to be turned into hidem. See photo for results, prompt service and reasonable pr...

Opening it up

Craig, You need to use a punch or press and remove the pin from the coupler, pull the coupler off and then the shaft, packing and gear will come out. The pump on my KLC used the pump body as the stationary seal face and needed to be resurfaced and polished. I will be surprised if your bushings are u...

Pump rebuild

Craig, I recently rebushed two of my pumps, one on a K engine and one a 283. Both of mine needed new seals, new brass bushings with grease grooves cut in and could have had new bearings. The seals are easy, Flowserve, Pac-Seal 5NC02 for both. The brass bushings are also easy, just takes a little $$$...

Boarding Ladder on Sacramento Craigs List

A 6 step boarding ladder is listed on Craigs list for $35.00 in Red Bluff, CA. Ladder folds into 3 step height and has metal plates on steps, the top saying Chris Craft. Looks like it would be a good fit for a cruiser.

Jabsco kit

There is a Jabsco service kit on Ebay for 10.00 plus shipping Number 90133-0001. The seller may be able to tell you if it fits your pump.

Oil Grooved bushings for Sherwood brass gear water pump

Does anyone have a supplier for the 1/2x3/4x7/8 grooved bushings used in the Sherwood water pump G8451?
Secondly, is there a source for a Jabsco 3380 impeller pump?
All suggestions appreciated
