Hello,
does anybody know the part number for the two v-belts that drive the generator and the water pump?

NAPA auto parts stores can provide them. They are called a fractional horsepower belt. Take your old belt to the parts store to have them measure the length. Publish the belt# when you them. Good luck.

Don,
I had a similar post early this year that got no answer to your question (http://www.chris-craft.org/discussion/v ... f=5&t=8212). The belts on mine were DAYCO GPL L330. I replaced them with that same belt, and they seem to do fine.

Don, the belts on my 283 are Gates #6730 matched set. However, they drive the water pump directly. I do not have a generator; my engine was supplied with an alternator which is driven by a separate belt: Gates #6736.

I hope that helps a little.

Both the Dayco and Gates websites crosslist the L330 and 6730 as interchangeable.

Good to know Jim. The Dayco L330 belts on my boat are paired with a Delco-Remy generator 1102205.
