Chris Craft trawlers??!

Postby jfrprops » Mon Jun 11, 2012 8:06 am

There is a CC TRAWLER for sale, google it,(yacht world) seems the company made 8 of these neat looking 36 footers in the early eighties????

I only learned of it because someone has an old piece of promotional material for sale on ebay... and it is about these CC TRAWLERS.

This is a sharp looling and rare ride.....for us that are interested in the big CC's this is a temptation.

What about the rest of those hulls? Any idea where they might be?

I heard that the hulls were built for CC by Cheoy Lee (I know that spelling is messed up). I think this came up years ago on the old ListBot or MemberClicks CCABC forums

Google came up with a discussion of these CC trawlers (Morgan's) on the blog of the commander club....they really look neat! and ultra rare...wonder if the 80's hulls held up or blistered?

interesting.....one came up as being in Maryland too?

Not foreign made...made in USA

Here is the link to the Commander club blog. Were these made in the Uniflyte factory in Bellingham?

In answering my own question  ....no, not made by Uniflite, but prior a design by Heritage and bought by CC, as to history, I assume they were made in Florida. Known as the West Indies 36 http://www.westindies36.com/

I have had 2 trawlers and this looks to be a very good design.
