Can an exhaust manifold and riser from a 5.7 efi mount to a mid 70's 305??

If there is an issue, it will be in the size of the exhaust port on the manifold versus the block. It should be an easy comparison to make, almost visual in nature, but certainly easy enough to measure up.

I honestly don't know if they are compatible, since there has been so many head changes in EFI 5.7l

I take it you found some salvage late model manifolds, because the old style CC manifolds are still commonly available.

The gaskets are different part #'s so I wouldn't think they would work.

Thanks for replies, going to have to replace both manifolds on port engine.I was just trying to be cheap and use low hour replacements.Located manifolds bout $200 each, gotta bite bullet.Removed bank 2 head that was giving the problem and #6 intake valve is stuck in guide. When my back recovers from that task I will remove bank 1 head and off to machine shop.Luckily no scoring of cylinder walls or ring ridge in cylinders.Gotta love it!!!
