Serial number and model

Postby Hokietown » Mon Jan 02, 2012 9:09 pm

Hope everyone had a great New Year or at least a great start. I'm looking at picking up a 40s runabout but the seller can't tell me the model. He gave me the hull number from the plate V15488L. Can anyone tell me what model this might be from? Looks nothing like my 1947 rocket hull number so not sure how to read this. As always, thanks for the input.

According to The Essential Guide V-15-001 to V-15-1096 is a 1955-59 15' Utility.

The only other number that remotely resembles your number is teh 1932-34 15.5 Deluxe Runabout with hull numbers 15000-15698 with out the V or L.
