Upholstery Tacks

Post by charlesquimby » Thu Apr 10, 2014 9:34 pm

Does anyone have a source for nickel-plated brass upholstery tacks? I got my last batch from Southern Crown, but am unable to contact anyone there by phone. The DIY outfit only sells plated steel tacks; not something I want to use on exposed upholstery. These are best described as dome-head style. CQ

I do not know who sells that style . But i do know the original boat tacks for American boats were blue tacks just every day tacks. they will hold up just fine in your boat if any concers once in place wipe with a oil rag then hang seat. I have redone boats after 80 years and the tacks were fine, some 20 years and a rust bucket. with a good cover you should be fine for a life time of fun. :D
