Hello all. I couldn't even hazzard a guess at the last time I posted on this site. Joined back in 1998 (although my profile says 2005?) We have just purchased our 7th Chris Craft,a 1965 24' sea skiff. My wife and I are headed to the tiny community of Britt, Ontario, Canada in northern Georgian Bay, tomorrow to bring her home to Penetanguishene in southern Georgian Bay and start the resoration process. I had a lot of help on this site over the years restoring 6 previous Chris Craft's and I look forward to asking for advice on this one too. For the past 4 years we have enjoyed restoring our 1974 F36 Trojan tri cabin which we love. Yes, it is a glass boat but loaded with teak. This sea skiff will serve as a great boat for evening cruising and picnic trips to the many beaches in our beautiful area. Probably a trailer trip to the ACBS show at Grace and Speed in Gravenhurst as well. But not until next year.

Hi Jim -

These are quite simple boats in most respects, and we love ours. I will be getting it in the water for the season in a few days, and can send youany information you might need. Mine was extremely original with very low hours when we bought it last year, so it is likely a good reference point for others.

In my opinion, the various lapstrakes offer the best bang for the buck in the classic boating world and they are so versatile and user friendly it is hard not to love them.
