'31 Commander Sports Express..... Finally

Postby ccfan2010 » Thu Mar 24, 2011 11:46 am

After what seems like years of sitting on the sidelines/dock, not including a brief stint with a '48 17' "project," which is now in someone else's garage (sigh of relief), I happily took possession of the last boat I will ever buy (for now). It is a '74 Commander 31', with the optional flybridge, dinette, galley, and cabin bulkhead. Given that it is in nearly original condition, the surveyor and insurance company have recommended (ie required) some systems be upgraded to a safe level, which, despite the surprise, I willingly agreed to. Hopefully this time next week (month?), I will be out off the coast of California, enjoying the sea air. Until then, the boatyard says I can visit as often as I like...

Steve, this is a great looking Commander Sports Express. This is the bigger sibling to the 27-foot Commander Sports Express recently featured in The Brass Bell.
