Do you have the old wiring to go by for colors? Around the time that boat was built was a transition year for wiring. You may have a mix of cloth and vinyl wire and how it was affixed to the stringer back to the engine. Not sure if you are going for factory original but if you need any information on the wiring and colors let me know.

Most likely all plastic in 1956. 1955 was the transition year for most CC factories
