I can appreciate that sentiment. I'd like to be assured that someone in my family will take over Mental Pause when I am no longer able to do so. As of yet I don't know that it will happen.

But right now I've got to get her finished and back in the water so that decision is hopefully a long way off.

Looks Good! Our 44' has been in the water almost 3 months now and leaks very little after a new bottom.

Tim, a wet, cold , dark Seattle day, putting a new bottom on the 44 footer.

Looks like lots of reflective thinking going on! That's the really fun part of restoration, decisions about what to do, not agonizing about the bill!

Glad it's in the water and no longer leaking! Congratulations to you both on the new bottoms! You've given them new life!

Almost done with the plasteek on the fwd deck. Decided on bamboo for the main cabin deck. 5/8" t&g and it came out very nice. Then I covered the whole thing with a throw rug anyway....what was I thinking? At least the wife is happy the old wall to wall carpet is gone!

Fwd deck complete! Later I plan to re-cut for kingplanks but for now it is closed and usable.
