What engines are these? What horsepower?

These are v-8 crusaders with velvet drive transmissions out of a 1956 Chris Craft 32 ft flybridge cruiser. I think they could be counter rotating but am not sure. What v-8 options did Chris Craft have in 1956?

No V-8's in 1956, your crusaders are replacement power.

Are they Cal-Connel Crusaders? Based on Cadillac engines they came in 250-285hp.
Chrysler Hemi's were also available in 1956.
If they are Chevrolet engines they are replacements.

Sorry, I meant no V8's listed for that model in The Essential. Special order power would be of course on the hull card.
