I am the new owner of a nice 19861 291 Catalina. Just completed cruising her down the Chesapeake Bay from Edgewood, MD, to her new home in Seaford, VA. "Desdemona" did well; the 305s gave no problems at all. She's getting hauled today to service the bottom, props, etc. I hope to post all learning experiences here, and read others as well! [/img]

I have owned a 1975 35 Double Cabin Catalina in Salt Water near Clearwater FL for the last 21 years. Due to the salt and age, I have had to replace everything except the battery charger and Shower Sump Pump, most everything 2 or 3 times. I love Chris Craft boats and am happy to offer my experience to all who have questions. Replacing the fuel tanks and engines is a good example of my experience. Both were a big project. I am happy to offer help to all. I am currently looking for a STRAIGHT prop shaft as mine has been in the shaft shop 3 times and has always had a vibration. I am selling my 4 blade 20 x 21 props with 1 3/8 bore. My repower forced a gear reduction change and the props have too much pitch for the new package. I can be reached at [email protected]
Enjoy! Charlie Cowles
