Just replaced a piece in the bottom of my cavalier and the old screw holes were filled with a type of filler not a plug. I was going to use famowood but was having second thoughts. Just wanted to get you guys a ooinion.

I use Interlux or Pettit underwater seam compound. It's like a putty. Works great and holds up well.

Smiths "Fill-it" is my product of choice.

Smith's Fill-it.....IMHO...the best there is.

Marine grade bondo filler

I've used marine grade "bondo", which is the same as a product called Kitty Hair, plastic or bondo saturated with fibre glass.
But now I use CPES over any bare wood and Smith's Fill-it for screw holes.
