Last evening, many of us in the antiwque and classic boating community received an Email, that one of the founding fathers of the Century Boat Club, Chuck Miklos passed away.

Please join me in keeping the Miklos family our thoughts and prayers.

Chuck was also a member of the Chris-Craft Antique Boat Club, and an avid Chris-Craft enthusiast.

Services for Chuck will be held this Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm at McDonald Linn Funeral Home. The address is: 529 California Ave. Avalon, PA 15202. Their phone number is: 1-412-766-7000.

His Funeral will be this Thursday at 10:00 am.

On Sunday, July 4th, 2010, age 81, a resident of Bellevue for 56 years. A graduate of North Catholic High School, he was a Veteran of the Korean War and a Purple Heart Recipient. Mr. Miklos was past president and currently vice president of the Northgate School District Board of Directors, a member of North Boroughs and Brighton Road Kiwanis and past president of Century Boat Club. Mr. Miklos is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Lowrie Miklos; father of Suzan Miklos Hunt (Robert) of Bellevue, Paul Miklos (Susan) of Grove City, Frank Miklos (Trudi) of New Sewickley Twp., Helen Miklos of Bellevue, Marjorie O'Malley (Dan) of Avalon, Erik Miklos (Leslie) of Washington, PA, Robert Miklos of Bellevue and the late Charles R., Jr. and Edwin C. Miklos; brother of Patricia Ditmore of Havre de Grace, MD and the late Lois Snyder; Pappy to 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Friends received Tuesday and Wednesday 2-9 PM at the McDonald-Linn Funeral Home, Inc. 529 California Ave. Avalon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Sacred Heart Church, Emsworth, time later.
