My kids watched "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events" the other day and low and behold it has a Gar Wood in it. Below is a link to a clip of the movie. It's a big file > 10MB. Check it out.

Thanks Matt.
That boat was owned by a good friend, Jim Gordon. Dave Wright restored it in 1998. It is a 1935 22' 22-45. The studio had their own pool to do this scene. Dave pulled the 202 Scripps out (they replaced the weight with a fat sack to get the waterline down). The studio also wanted the names and numbers removed (the studio put "Mis Behavin" on the sides) as well removing the seats and windshield (for fear of Jim Carrey breaking the original). They had the windshield in that scene made by props guys, which Jim Carrey immediately broke the first one - so they ended up making two. They had the boat for four months - and Jim was paid handsomely for it. He sold the boat to another guy on Tahoe about a year ago.
It's too bad the movie was not very good.
