Mystery Holes in Stem

Post by mattbyrne » Sun Nov 16, 2008 3:06 pm

I remove the Stem assembly this weekend and noticed 2 extra holes in the Stem (see pic). The 2 holes go all the way through and are plugged on the outside. I’m 99% sure this is the original Stem, did the factory use these for something? Why are they there?

Matt,

We found the same thing on the sister hull to yours that is here in our shop. If you go back and look at the pics I sent you awhile back, you will see them.

As far as I can determine, they were for a factory jig setup. You are not missing anything.
