ISO Lamborghini engine

Post by boat_art » Wed Jan 06, 2016 8:15 pm

Im looking for a Lamborghini engine with a marine conversion. A customer of mine wants me to put it in his boat. I told him its not likely to get one at a "reasonable price" but I said I would try!
I know Riva had a connection to Lamborghini at one time.
Thanks
Tom

From what I know there were only 2 that were converted to marine use. Both were for Mr. Lamborghini's Riva. Mr. Lamborghini's Riva has been restored and Lamborghini engines were installed. The only original engine from the boat is in the Lamborghini museum. The 2 in the boat were car engines that were converted for marine by copying the one in the museum.

Thanks Jim. I saw that already and thought someone may have put something together somewhere since. It is a long shot for sure, but I have to pursue it nonetheless.

Wellcraft built some Scarabs with lamborghini engines in the 80s
from what I read MerCruiser imported 300 engines for use in offshore racing.

you would think there still has to be some of these engines around.
