Seeking info: 1978 22' Chris-Craft "dory-style" ou

Post by xenasomerset » Wed Sep 28, 2011 9:51 am

Does anyone have any information about the boat Chris-Craft built in 1978 with the following specs?:
"Dory-style" which I mean is based on the "Cutlass" design with the upswept bow.
Fiberglass.
Center cockpit, but with an outboard, NOT inboard motor.
I think they only built this boat in 1978?
Can anyone tell me what the actual Chris-Craft model name was, and how many they built during what years? Does a Chris-Craft brochure exist, with photos and specifications?
All I can find is this, from iBoats.com:

Thanks from a newbie member!

At least one frequent participant on this forum has a dory designed for an outboard motor. He may respond to you request.

There is also information on these boats in the archives.

I hope this is helpful

Using the "Search" tab at the top of the page I did a search for Dory. Here is the link that mentions the owner (Ed Laning) of an outboard dory.

You could send a PM to Ed for more information.

If you do the search there are many other discussions listed about the Cutlass and the Cutlass Dory.
