The aft back rest is a plywood board cut to shape of opening . It rest on the aft cushion riser and hooks over 2 cleats just under deck level . TWO HOLES WILL NEED TO BE CUT OUT TA ACCEPT THE HOOKS/CLEATS .Should be some evidence of the location on the boat inner transom top board.
CUT IT SMALLER SIDE TO SIDE TO ALLOW FOR UPHOLSTERY LAYERS, cut it 3/8" smaller. THE TOP EXTENDS HIGHER THAN THE DECKING . HAVE CEILINGS IN TO MAKE CORRECT width SIZE.
NOT SURE OF THAT MEASUREMENT. HOPE THIS HELPS.

By Frame Work, do you mean the wood frame that it all sits on?

The back sits on the frame of the aft seat box .in front of fuel ⛽.you should have a frame under aft cushion.
