Gang;
Can anyone help me identify the seat strapping in the picture.
I am making new seats for my 1959 Riva Ariston. This strapping is a kind of rubberized cloth material that is 1 1/4" wide.
I have seen that I can get a modern nylon version but I would like to find the original materials first.
Any ideas from you interior guys?
Thanks

Thanks all for the reply.
I have found the rubber webbing but not in the original size. All I have found so far is 2" and what I am looking for is 1 1/4".
Is there a catalog to order from to see if that size is even made? I guess I can use 2" if I have to.
BTW...this stuff is ridiculously expensive. It's just a piece of rubber, I don't get it....

Don, try Jack Mayeaux 503-267-8824 he has done a lot of old cars, boats and furniture and really pays attention to detail, he may have a source.

You may want to remeasure , the tack area for correct width, the webbing gets narrower after it has "over streched" and the tack area is the proper place to measure for exact size. I have done many Riva's and 2" is the correct width.Or as close as you can get now.
When you install the new make sure you do not over strech it . Weave it under and over this allows for maximum support. I prefer to do the short ones first then I only have to weave 3 long ones. but this is not a rule. just a tip.
