FLASH makes a Splash!!

Post by quitchabitchin » Mon Sep 29, 2014 10:43 pm

After nearly 3 years, I returned to the ACBS Bluegrass Rendezvous this weekend with my boat completely finished. She was a big hit with nearly everyone paying compliments to her style, color, sound, and overall look. I couldn't be more happy with the feedback I received this weekend. I'm fighting a small fuel pressure issue at higher RPM's, so I was forced to keep her under 3000, but she performed great otherwise. Thanks to all here for your support, answers, advice, and encouragement over the past few years. Below are some pictures for your enjoyment.

Thanks,

Andy

Flawless Flash! Thanks for the photos. The paint finish is perfection. How'd you do that? Makes me want to find a 60s vintage glass runabout and do a restoration.

Thank you. The paint is base coat/clear coat. It is Chevrolet Victory Red. I used BC/CC because I plan on using this boat and it is easy to repair vs a single stage. I can't take full credit for the final paint product as I just did the body work and prepped it for paint. Autoworks in Darrtown, OH did the final finish.

Congrats Andy, the boat looks great! I really like the interior color.

Enjoy the heck out of it before the season ends.

Love it! Thanks for posting. Looks like Wilson Wright's old boat. Great to see you out enjoying her, and also hear how the show attendees responded as well.
