Outdrive Lift Limit Switch

If it doesn't pertain to metal, fiberglass, wire or fabric—but it is about classic fiberglass Chris-Crafts, ask your question or give your advice here.

Outdrive Lift Limit Switch

Post by Ollon » Mon Oct 14, 2013 6:57 pm

Does anyone know where I could get a threaded limit switch for the volvo outdrive lift in my 1972 17' Lancer. This was standard equipment in all Lancers and XK19's that have the volvo outdrive. All I can find now is a push in switch that does not fit or convert.

It seems I got very lucky and found one right down the street at Warner Boats in Newport Beach. It had been sitting on his shelf for 30 years. The part number is VOP 897848 for anyone who may need it in the future. I got his last one but I'm sure there are places out there that may have more. They also has a nice collection of old outboards and parts for sale. One in particular: a brand new out of the box 1955 Johnson 5 1/2 hp.
