I am doing research for a buddy of mine who wants to move on from his in-progress '56 18' Lyman Runabout to an outboard cruiser for his young family (anyone interested in a lyman?) He came across what seems to be a 1952 Evinrude film advertisement that has been segmented for a charitable college fund in the name of the male figure being showcased etc. The outboard cruiser seems like a very early 50's - almost 40's design. It's a bit hard to tell if it is a ply or molded - or even planked. Can you guys help? You can almost make out a plack on either side of the stern.. A full version of the video seems to be missing from the Internet.
Take a look at the short video below:

It's a US Molded Shapes Cruiser. There is one for sale near me. A 1955 w/ a Chris Craft K inboard. This company was a subsidiary of Wagemaker boats. http://rochester.craigslist.org/boa/4335109901.html
Boats are to be made of wood, otherwise, God would have grown fiberglass trees.
