Can anyone give me info on this hull #

Are you in need of information regarding "the way it was?" Or are you are a walking "who's-who" of Chris-Craft history? Share what you don't know—or do know here.

Can anyone give me info on this hull #

Post by mikegammill » Wed Jun 20, 2012 1:24 pm

This is a boat that has been down at my family's lakehouse for as long as I can remember. I am very new to the vintage boat thing, but am ready to learn.

Hull Id= CC-17-266

I know its a 17' runabout, and has remained unmolested, for decades, with all original parts intact.

Any information about this thing is greatly appreciated. I'm really excited about getting it up here to KC.

Thanks, Mike

Contact the Mariners Museum and order your "hull card" and info packet. It is about $40-50 and will answer many questions, not only about the model, but also details about your specific boat.

You should only need two pieces of info to give the Mariners Museum.

1) your hull number and
2) your credit card number

They then provide you with the rest of the info. All in all one of the best purchases you can make in this hobby.

For 10 dollars they will e-mail just the hull card without the packet..but it sounds like the full packet would be the away to go on your first boat.

Got a call from the Mariners Museum the morning, looks like I'll have all my literature in 10 days, give or take...

In the meantime,(besides reading thread after thread on here) I've been looking for a trailer like crazy to no avail.
I'm headed down to the cabin(where the boat is) on Monday, and will be contacting some people about trailers and getting the boat onto one from where it's at. Wish me luck, I will need it.

The only picture I have right now, I have more buried. I'm very anxious to get her up here.

look for an old correct craft trailer from the 80's the boat will fit on there well and there a great towing trailer.

that is the best way to keep cutwaters from getting damaged while boat is being trailered. keep ur cutwater out of those rubber vee blocks!!! note how the strut is tied off, this is exactly how i trailered back in the late 70's and 80's.
been messing with old wood boats since 1975 when i bought my first chris riveria r-18-999
