Correct bunk placement U-22 Sportsman

Winterizing? Summerizing? Covering? Trailering? If it is about a boat out of water put it here.

Correct bunk placement U-22 Sportsman

Post by Judge1948 » Mon Jun 01, 2020 3:00 pm

I need some help understanding the best placement for the bunks on this trailer. This is what I’ve been using. Constructed with 6” C channel. Some direction came from builder but not entirely. Any pictures with boat on and off would really help. Not sure I’ve got it right. Long boards at tail section currently do not rest under hull at the outside edge. They sit about 10” in towards center of hull. I’m thinking they should be further towards outside edge. Short bunks between fenders support engine area. Just trying to cradle her properly. Any suggestions or ideas would be great. Thanks a lot.

The engine stringers are 22 1/2" apart. You want a lot under them. Some under the chine too.

Ok thank you. Looks like I’m close but some mid ship adjustment might be necessary. I appreciate the information.
