Types of material for custom cover

Winterizing? Summerizing? Covering? Trailering? If it is about a boat out of water put it here.

Types of material for custom cover

Post by bongocruiser » Sun Feb 04, 2018 4:07 pm

I've been searching the archives and still confused what type of material would be best for a custom boat cover. Ideally I'd like something lightweight with UV protection but also waterproof and non-scratching. I don't trailer the boat much but it does get sun while in the boathouse/carport and it would be great if it was easy to put on while the boat is hanging by the rings. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Does the felt liner come as a separate piece or is it one piece with sumbrella on the outside and felt inside?

Jim,
Talk to Rob at Lakeshore boat Tops. He is on Jefferson just across from Colony marine. Try to hold off until fall, he is now in hie busy season as most canvas shops are. I have him about 4 boats deep just for my store.
