Chris-Craft Antique Boat Club Web Site Maintenance
We are in need of doing some routine maintenance on our web servers that run Boat Buzz, www.chris-craft.org, and www.tradingdock.org. We are doing some significant software updates—we will have the sites down for as little time as possible
These sites will be down starting later today. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I too got the "Forbidden" message...I'd never seen that one before...I gather from other messages of yours I've seen that you are somewhat of a "techie". I wondered what that meant...guess it doesn't make any difference now.

Not to be overly critical. But since this was a big deal and took 3 days, it would have been nice to send an email out to everyone who is in the list to let them know when the site went down and also when it came back on line. 2 group emails. should only take 2 minutes to do. I alone, spent at least 10 times that amount trying to log in and see what was going on. Multiply that times 1000 members and I think everyone can agree there was a better solution. Not a big deal, but for next time, please send an email so we will know what is going on.

I too was caught off guard with a personal issue that took up some time and kept me offline right before the downtime. And then I couldn't see the previously left note about it because it was down. And I too had others e-mailing me to ask if I knew what was going on.
AND, I also found the "Forbidden" message a little alarming. But I figured it would probably eventually all magically come back!
