Connie Enthusiast Group

Post by Bill Basler » Fri Mar 10, 2006 10:25 pm

For those interested, there is a "groups" feature of this Boat Buzz forum that allows us to target correspondence to enthusiasts for specific types/models of boats. The first group that we have set up is for Constellation Enthusiasts. You need not be a Connie owner to be a part of this group, you must, however, have an interest in Constellations.

You can click on the "Usergroups" link at the top of the page to join this group. As this concept grows you will be able to join into as many groups as you wish. For example, Connies, Sea Skiffs amd Post-War Runabouts.

By joining a group, you have expressed an interest in receiving correspondence from the moderator of the group. Your profile will also be visible as a member of the group, making it easier for others to know that you share interests.

we are beta testing this idea with the Connie Enthusiasts. If there is enough merit to warrant setting up other groups, we will do that in time.

Bill,
This seems like a natural extension to the CCABC.

More "Groups" now configured

I have taken a bit of time to set up "Usergroups" for all of the major Chris-Craft divisions or classifications of boats. Please see the Usergroups link at the top of each page, and go through the very brief process of joining whichever group(s) that you would like to be a part of. What this all means is a bit sketchy, but for now, it does let the other members know your areas of interest. Also, from an admin standpoint, if I want to send out a group message to all Connie Enthusiasts, it makes it very easy to do so.
Thanks.
