Which type of Chris Crafts? Runabouts not so much as they were not meant to be kept in the water all year. Chris Craft fitted them with lifting rings to lift them out of the water to prevent a water logged hull (old time sealants back in the day). Cruisers were not hauled often, particularly the big ones and needed galvanic protection. Cruisers in salt or brackish waters needed sacrificial anodes to prevent damage to bronze underwater gear and cast iron engine blocks.Cruisers in fresh water benefit from anodes to prevent stray electrical currents from eating away at expensive metal parts. This can unfortunately happen from a neighboring boat with poor electrical grounding finding a current path through the water and into your boat.
