Just got off the phone with some distributers... Meranti is out as well.. In fact its so close that many times its sold as Philipene... Ahhhhhh

WOW.. No.. They have all suggested African Mahogany, you just need to pick the correct piece.. Also Spanish Ceder. But it is lighter and sappy... So I am leaning towards African... Its also available... But I will def look into this... I am courious now as to what happened when Chris Craft ran out o...

I have tried all the places that I can think of for 16/4 Philipene mahogany... All the importers all the distributers... East coast west coast and in between... Does anyone have any... Sitting in the garage.. In an inventory in a back room...Any help would be huge... Thanks Matt

Wiring harness and diagram 1941

Is there such a thing as a complete wiring harness available for a 1941 Runabout? My guess is no. But this is the place to find out... Also a wiring diagram... I am taking more shots of old wiring than I did of my first child... Thanks

"Captians Cap" will get you the real deal. "Yaughting hat" Just keep searching. I have seen the true old 40's type there many times. Not the fake stuff. Good luck. Matt

Thanks so much. It drove me crazy to do that. But there was nothing to atach it to, No rudder ... nothing. That shot was taken on the same day that I took the boat home from the boat shop. It is now sitting in a barn coverd with a custom cover and ...you will be pleased... No strap.... On a side not...

removing deck seam caulk

I need to romove the caulking on the deck seams. It is from around 1975 and is all crackly. I was told to heat it and it would come out but I am nervous about the Varnish. Is there a clean and safe way to do it? Thanks Matt

Anti freeze

I use the RV kind. It spills out all over the gravel driveway and the car stuff is dangorous to the dogs . It has done us well for 4 years. But then again we live in Virginia.
