Re: How to keep Varnish looking shiny when on the water

The best way to clean off water spots, sun screen, and bug spray that I have found is a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water. I like to use white vinegar myself as it seems to have a little less residue. If you really want to get fussy about it you can use distilled water in your mix, but in my opinion it...

Word has it that the pendulum is actually starting to swing back. The younger generations are starting to look for something tangible. Almost everything "retro" is becoming very popular. :D If you have been checking Boat Buzz lately you have seen my lament that postings have fallen off significantly...

Re: 2017 Board of Directors Election - Biographies of Nomine

Hi All! I am here again to make it clear that we did not intend to have only 4 candidates on our ballot this year. There had been a total of seven potential candidates, however, three needed to withdraw for different reasons shortly before the candidates were announced. I also had a member who conta...

Re: 2017 Board of Directors Election - Biographies of Nomine

I apologize for any miscommunication in this matter. Donald Ploetner II was the Chair of the Nominating Committee while each member of the BOD is automatically a member of the committee. We did not have any non board members on the committee this year. I personally called several candidates as did M...

The instructions that come with a K2076 kit for carbs on a MCL recommend: "Turn idle needle in lightly against its seat, than back out needle 1 - 1/4 turns as a preliminary adjustment."

I adjusted mine at 2 - 1/2 turns on my W's the first time. Good thing I did not through out the instructions. :D

My buddy has one for his boat and one for his tractors. They work well.

The only challenge I have seen is that the "ribs" on the roof go longitudinally so the snow does not self release. I suspect you will want a snow rake like Mark is suggesting.

Congratulations Wayne!

Thanks Bob for the kind words. The current BOD felt that the "Stewardship Award" was more representative of our clubs intentions. This was truly the brain child of our Treasurer and board member, Andy Riggs.

Thanks Jim F for continuing on with managing this program.

Loosen whatever is keeping the belt tight (probably the generator) remove the old belt, install the new belt, tighten whatever is adjustable (probably the generator).
Hope that helps. :D

As Captain Nemo points out there are many possible factors in such a condition. (wiring, starters, ignition parts, timing .....) It is always hard to diagnose something over the internet. Robertpaul mentions choking. That is a great easy place to start. I like the idea of half choke over full choke ...

To not renew is very short sited. Without members the club will not survive, period. That was very handy and peaked my interest in...

Can't say for on your boat, but I can tell you the on a 1957 21' Continental it is forward of the hull drain, so I would suspect that a year older Capri would be similar. :D
