That looks like it is a control for a searchlight that was mounted on the cabin top at one time.

Try Hagerty, They have agreed hull value. I think they have provisions for a restoration in progress. I've been w/ them for years, but I've never had to make a claim. Knock on wood. Pun intended. They may require a survey also.

Re: still have buzz issues?

Hey Troy, My iMac is now doing the same thing now. My only way in is thru the link from Woodyboater. Which is fine, I go there anyway, but I am afraid I'm getting squeezed out.

Re: still have buzz issues?

Troy, I’m still having some problems w/ logging on using my iPad. I’m allowed to log on going to the Buzz using the link from Woodyboater. But I am still unable to log onto the CCABC homepage. I have no problems at all using my iMac though. If no one else is experiencing this the problem is probably...

Please send your detailed concerns directly to [email protected].- My inquiry to this address gets bounced back. It looks like it was delivered to an AOL account that rejected it.
I'm having trouble logging using my iPad. It uses the same browser as my iMac (Safari).

Re: Utility vs. Sportsman??

Welcome to the Boat Buzz Jacob, If you can find the hull number that will determine what exactly you have there. You should find the number stamped on an engine stringer, seat backs or on other parts of the boat. To the best of my knowledge there was a model called “Utility”, and also of course the ...

Re: Keel Condition 70 Connie

Hi Jim,
What I think I can see from the pics looks more like some checking going on there, it doesn't look too alarming. If you can't see daylight through it and it will hold screws, I would soak it in epoxy and reassemble.
It's hard sometimes to know where to stop taking things apart.

Has anyone noticed how the green new posting icon on the engines and power train subject stays on even though there are no new postings? I get disappointed when I find nothing new, or is it just me. :?

On a K, you can remove the starter and the belt slips around the flywheel. IDK if any different on a model M.

The Scotchbrite may work. You just have to rough it up a little so the varnish gets a "bite". It appears the caulking is too smooth so the varnish seemed to float on it.

Re: adjusting disc in transmission of Chris-Craft Model B En

Hi, Jim Does the clutch really seem like it is slipping? Does it over rev when you get to 2 grand? It should take some effort to get into gear. It should also have a distinct pop when getting it into "neutral". If it kind of slides into fwd, the clutch needs to be tightened. If you take the top off ...

I would start by disconnecting the linkage from the reverse gear to tell for sure that it is the linkage that is binding. Lube all the linkages also.

Re: Caulking Deck Seams

How deep are the seams you are filling? If the seams are too deep you need to put some backing cord or some cotton in to take up the excess space. You might be getting air escaping from down deep in the seam. If you have too much caulking in a deep seam it tends to to pull away and crack also.
