KL to 283 repower
Any one have experience with repower from Straight 6 KL type motor to a 283 V8. Have 18' 1956 Continental (utility style). Pulled motor and sent to Engine shop for evaluation. I'm not holding out much hope it's economically realistic to repair. Crack in #4 cyl and milky oil. Previous owner Didn't wi...

Re: Hydraulic trans

Re: Repower or rebuild
Thanks for the input. Decided to stay with original motor. Stripping her down and sending to engine/machine shop and hope for the best. Seam caulking / filling
Have a '56 contenential, recent purchase. Hull appears very solid with no plank distress.
Any advice or videos on cleaning out seams and caulking?
What material should be use on hull bottom caulking?

KL Oil
Just bought a '56 Continental. Has KL motor. Want to change oil before I try to start it. What is the capacity? Any brand / weight
recommendations? Planning on using Quaker State High Mileage 10W30. Have run this brand in my Ford pickup for 200k miles with no problems.
