Steve, there are 4 other 22-foot Continentals in our Hull Registry that you could look over. Feel free to try to contact any of the owners of these. Oh, and register yours while you're in there.

Re: Correct blue stripe color

After looking closer, the 1964 Brochure shows a red waterline stripe and wide blue stripe at the topside windows below the shear for the 57' Connie. Later catalogs may show a black waterline stripe but the same blue stripe on the topsides on the 57 footers.

Re: Correct blue stripe color

There are a few color photos in the online archive that may get you close to the original color. Look at the color photo on the back cover of the 1964 Full Line Brochure. Its the 57' Connie. Also several color photos are included in the 1965 Chris-Craft Catalog. All of the blue stripes in these phot...

I found 2 spec sheets in our online archive that show the 1970 Corsair 23' Lancer Premiere. There's a brochure that includes a photo of the 23' Offshore model but not the Premiere.

Fred, Sorry that you didn't receive a response to this post. Here's a link that I found on the subject that may help to see what's involved in installing a heat exchanger cooling system.

I have heard that some 1946 Deluxe Runabouts received something other than mahogany on the topsides. Possibly Spanish Cedar? The sides on the one at Bryant's appears quite different than the adjacent Custom topsides. The bungs do appear to be putty filled, much like the 1942 Special Runabout was bui...

Re: Original Fiberglass Bottom on Cavalier

In the day, they used a resin based fiberglass. The newer epoxy type may not bond well to this. What if you were to cut the existing fiberglass at the edge of the bottom plywood and place a new overlapping patch using the resin (that I believe is still available) once the sides are complete. The pat...

Mike, all interior mahogany in the 1960, 27-foot Connie that I had was stained a slightly lighter shade than the CC Red exterior bright work. Mark, First, the chine question - The chines on my 27' 1960 Connie became a problem after years of dust and dirt settling on them and rain water keeping that mess wet frequently.
