Re: Danenberg's book

I highly recommend you take a 100 bucks and buy a Nook. Then you can buy the Danenberg book through Barnes and Noble for 22 bucks. It will be easy to carry and read plus then you can throw other books regarding wooden boat restoration on the Nook as well. Here is the link to Barnes and Noble for the...

Looks like the same boat I was looking at back in the early 90's. If It's the same one it was sitting on a boat rack in a marina in Shady Side, MD. The boat hadn't been touched or in the water in probably 30 years. Probably had 3 inches of dust and dirt on her. The owner who lived in another part of...

To this point I have to agree. I've been asked, as many on this forum have, many time by newbie's what they should do about a 1st boat. My response has much of the time been "don't buy a project for your first boat". I think I have seen my fair share of people giving up because they did not underst...

12 volt will charge faster, start better and the boat will actually run better. My vote is convert to 12.

given the age of the boat should be pretty easy to get a new title. talk with your dmv. they understand restoration of old untitled antique boats and cars.

I think your right that what this really means is that a mahogany runabout is viewed as a gift that brings prestige and visible wealth. Interesting message.

I had the same problem with my sportsman and the 3034 worked well for me. You do have to snug the filter up tight and you have to have the new gasket that comes with the filter. It's an inexpensive first step for someone who wants to filter their gas before it reaches the carb. The inline filter you...

This filter fits nicely in the fuel bowl on a CC.

NAPA fuel filter (fits in bowl), part #3034 w/gasket (always look in the box to make sure the gasket is there).
