its a 1963 35ft yacht, have had some serious problems with this computer will work on uploading some pics. lost all that I had. with a half a sheet of ply and some paint she could be launched. the trailer goes with it.

due to my failing health im selling my cavalier yacht with trailer for 2000$ needs some work above waterline. boat is intact. will be tearing it apart soon for scrap.

good to see a yacht in the water. picked mine up last fall.was cleaning it up till winter set in. only problem ive found sofar is where the old vinyl deck was rolled under the gunwale. with the vinyl removed it left a way for water to get under the gunwale. this allows the water to get aganist the p...

she is in good shape on the port quarter i had to cut a 9"x12" section above the water line out were the side joins the transom it had rotted out. all i can figure is the water is getting in under the gunwale. my plan is to use my rotozip and run the length of the gunwale then fill with a epoxy. the...

my question was not about the plywood itself but more about were the ply is tied into the transom/ though hull fitting and just putting 35x12.5 ft of lumber back into a marine enviroment after its been on the hard for years

being a owner of a henry, cruiser inc. and a penn yan i know about swelling. will my cavalier leak as bad when i float it next year? with it being plywood hull i would not think so just trying to get a feel for what i can expect

shaft packing
new to wooden boats so bear with me when i was in the navy on patrol boats the shaft packing at the threw hull fitting had a aceptable drip rate and we could lock the shafts down if the engine was not running my question is this the same for these boats?

i love this site! even with glitches it amazes me that there guys out there paying attention to it. love boats been around them all my life. retired navy, own a penn yan, henry, and a glass rinker but the cavalier is the cream of the crop. will be moving on it and selling the farm as soon as i can

just became owner of a 35ft cavalier (dont know if she has a another name ie commander, cruiser no labels) but the mariners museum in virginia forget their website call 757 591 7785 that is the # for the cc archives everything there is at least 35$ a copy. if anyone knows if my boat has 2 names feel...
