Storage

As Matt indicates, in any given season just under half of our claims happen when a boat is in storage, and the majority when the boat is NOT in use. We do try to take the amount of time the boat is actually used during the season when rating. How / where the boat is stored can also make a difference...

Yes, the Policy will cover Fire, Theft, Vandaism, Building collapse, Trees falling, Boat floating away if flood, just about anything in a storage situation......

sorry has been real busy. The haul out endo will pay 50% of the cost to haul the boat, up to 1000.00 max. If you do not have the endo, we will add to your policy IF you request. It should be on most coastal policies south of Va.

Tom, There are many other coverages typically included in a true "Marine" policy. I would urge you to contact Boat US or us (Hagerty) to at least identify what those differences are....They can become more or less important based on how you specifically use your boat. WE have a CC U-22 # U-22-229 Think it is a 1946? But it is in natural finish....is this a Cedar hull or possibly Honduran Mahogany??? Refering to the Essential Guide, it indicates the 46 - 48 hulls were painted, so assume these were Cedar? The grain does not appear to be Cedar to us???
