I've just always felt more comfortable working with epoxy paint than gel coat. You have more working time and no waste, its more forgiving and if your working in a closed environment, the fumes wont kill you.

My Dad always used it with Valpar back in the day and now I use it with Epiphanes. I also use it to remove chalk and bring color back to old colored gel coat. I apply it with a scotch brite pad and let it sit a couple days. Then wash and buff it out with 3M.

Welcome. OMC and Volvo used the Buick 225 so you can look for parts through those outlets as well. The exhaust manifolds are different from the Chris Craft ones but they will work. If you take it by a Volvo service place they can tell you right away just by looking at it. They will have the correct bolt also. The one in the picture looks like it's brass with worn threads. A new correct bolt might be all you need. The lift is another story.
