Does anyone know the diameter of a 1960 Chris Craft 283 flywheel?
Not the outer diameter around the teeth (i believe that is 14"?) but the flat surface, where u would draw a TDC timing line. Im thinking of having a custom flywheel timing tape made to stick on that surface. Thanks

Van Ness Engineering
Has anyone heard whether Dave Van Ness has discontinued operation? I've been trying in vain to contact him for a couple months, getting no response from phone, email, voicemail, text... I've had an engine on order from Dave for more than 20 months.

Thank you all. I think I am narrowing in on a method. I happen to be building a 30x40 shop that might allow me to flip my cruiser on it's side using the tips and shoring ideas you guys brought up as well as those from the Danenberg forum. As a newbie I sure appreciate the quick and helpful responses.

I had a professional survey completed and have a list of things to work on over the next year or two before getting it in the water. Before tackling the bottom work, I've have been researching ideas on being able to flip the ...
